Who's Carol?

Carol Jo Goss, an omnivorous reader from an early age, discovered Jane Eyre and Elizabeth Bennett at age ten. Those feisty heroines sparked her lifelong love of romance, the Regency and, of course, England where she lived and taught English literature and history for a year and where she's returned many times.

She now lives on a pond in Michigan with her wonderful husband and champion proofreader as well as her crazy but lovable cats in a house she designed. When she isn't sequestered in her office writing the kinds of books she loves to read, she enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, and researching the Regency. She also loves history, baseball and hockey (Go Red Wings!), and obviously, travel anywhere in the world.

She is polishing her Regency novel, To Resist A Rogue, part of a planned series to be called The Demons of Devon, and with which she has won the following:

  • Second place in the Historical category of the Royal Ascot contest.
  • Third place in the Espan PageOne contest.
    Carol is a member of:
    • Romance Writers of America
    • The Greater Detroit Chapter of RWA
    • The Beau Monde Online Chapter of RWA
